Making Every Stitch a Little Smoother
Good Day! From Juli’s desk at Knot Today, MS! I know firsthand how tricky it can be to keep up with the hobbies we love while managing Multiple Sclerosis. Crochet has been my go-to therapy for staying calm, keeping my hands moving, and expressing creativity. But some days, the fatigue, hand weakness, numbness, or pain makes it harder to enjoy.
Over time, I’ve discovered some amazing crochet tools that make things easier—tools that support your hands, reduce fatigue, and help you keep creating. So, these tools are not a one size fits all since everyone has different issues. The tools I recommend are ones that I have tried and have helped me.
Whether you’re a seasoned crochet artist or new to fiber arts, here are my favorite crochet tools for MS warriors that can make a huge difference!
I was working on a paid project that required using a very small hook about a 2.5mm. I tried, but had a lot of issues holding it due to numb finger tips. I took a look around to find a solution. I found a plethora of ergonomic crochet hooks from reasonable priced to Wow 🙂 I purchased one of the reasonably priced hooks and the difference was night and day. I was sold!
